The Appalachian Beekeeping Collective operates under the auspices of Appalachian Headwaters, a non-profit dedicated to reclaiming previously mined forest land and fostering economic opportunities in the Appalachian region. The collective recruits, educates, and provides ongoing support to beekeepers throughout Virginia and West Virginia, aiming to generate sustainable income within local communities. The collective's raw honey, renowned for its quality, is sourced from over 100 local beekeepers situated in the mountainous regions of Appalachia. Ensuring the well-being of bees, beekeepers, and the environment, the collective adheres strictly to chemical-free and antibiotic-free practices throughout its operations.

ABC produces their creamed honey using raw honey sourced from the Appalachian mountains. They carefully control the cold crystallization process to ensure uniform and small honey crystals, resulting in a creamy texture for the finished product. Creamed honey retains its raw state, preserving all the health benefits inherent in traditional Appalachian honey.
